From Oatmeal Walls to Artisanal Framing: How Our Story Began

From Oatmeal Walls to Artisanal Framing: How Our Story Began

Adulting at it's finest

There’s a specific kind of blankness that fills a brand-new apartment when you first move in.

For me, it was my first place in Sea Point - surrounded by plain oatmeal walls with zero character. It didn't feel like home until I hung up a single framed photo of me and my dog, Harvey.

The original photo of Harvey and me that started it all.

That single photo changed everything. The room instantly felt warmer and more grounded. What started with Harvey slowly grew into a full gallery wall dedicated to expressing my inner world. I realized then how much power a thoughtful frame, fine print, or mirror holds - it’s the bridge between a stark space and a true home.

Handcrafted in Simon's Town

When turning this passion into a business, we chose a route of care and local authenticity over mass production.

Today, every piece we offer is locally and individually created—from our printing room to the woodwork shop in the heart of Simon's Town. We source our materials locally, crafting frames and mirrors built to bring warmth and character into your space for years to come.

A little personal touch goes a long way. Whether it’s a favorite memory, a fine print, or a mirror reflecting natural light, our hope is simple: that every piece we craft helps your space feel like home.
